Page Ahead currently produces one fundraising event a year that requires volunteer assistance. We also hold a public book drives at events such as a yearly Seattle Mariner game. Volunteers can be involved on many levels - from planning and preparation to execution and follow-through. Commitment varies and most hours are evenings and weekends.
Volunteer at Page Ahead
Page Ahead relies heavily on volunteer support. More than 420 volunteers contributed over 5,342 hours last year. A Page Ahead staff member helps volunteers to quickly find the kind of work that best suits their time and talents.
Book Fair HelperPage Ahead is looking for volunteers to help students at our Book Up Summer program book fairs. These occur in the spring, April - June, during weekday school hours. At these book fairs at-risk kids grade K-2 will select 12 brand new, free-to-them books to take home for summer reading. For many of these at-risk children, this will be the first book they own.
